Editorial policy
Golden Civic Report aims to make civic heritage engaging without smoothing away uncertainty or disagreement. We distinguish what can be described from what is interpreted, and we welcome readers who spot a reason to revisit a detail.
Accuracy and context
We check names, dates and descriptions against suitable published material where available, and take care not to turn a plausible reading into a stated fact. When the evidence or interpretation is uncertain, we say so. We do not claim first-hand research or access to confidential material.
Independence
Editorial choices are made for relevance to the publication's subject and readers. A collaboration does not determine our conclusions, and partner material is kept distinct from independent editorial coverage.
Corrections
If you believe a factual detail is wrong or unclear, contact us through the Contact page and identify the passage and the reason for concern. We review correction requests and make appropriate changes with a clear note where the change materially affects the meaning.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid or partner content and partner placements are clearly labelled so readers can distinguish them from independent editorial work. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where applicable, they are identified as such and are not presented as documentary evidence.
